Please do not signup if you beleive this is to much, We are only looking for Community members not people who simply signup and use resources without giving anything in return.

Nothing new, its a tradition but mostly due to hosts dropping them in midway and closing shutters unexpectedly. Besides those offering free hosting also gain indirectly, so its 2 way system, not one way. Its selfish world out there, no one offers things for free, there is always a catch or return indirectly. Its an investment to get strong database and so called community along with SEO and ad-revenues before selling it off for healthy price.
Now, don't take it as thankless attitude but a mutual understanding and commitment and host need to work on this better to avoid people complaining.

even 5 posts to upgrade is way too much. If you expect people to actually post QUALITY POSTS then you have to let them decide when they want to post & without having to worry about a certain number of posts to accumulate before they can upgrade. It's just common sense.
And BTW, if you force people to post in order to upgrade their account, you won't get anything except for 90% spam, off-topic & non related posts.

All of the above posts have the truth in them. Especially Antonio's post and scylla's post. I dont see what the deal with post to host is anyways. You can damn near expect some flank from your posters just because they want something from you. It works just like in real life... someone wants something they put on a front and put up a fake smile all in your face... just to get what they want for free.
