Hi all,
I am launching my docker based container shared hosting service as a public preview to get some feedback
Use the following coupon to get 12-months at 1USD p/m for 1GB/1vCPU package: ALPHA-FWS - Order here
Who is this for? Private and small businesses. Larger ones are obviously going to look at something more enterprise on public clouds such as AWS, Azure or Google.
However, if you are looking at hosting your website but would like to be fully in control of what is running, try us out
We enforce HTTPS via Lets-encrypt and default to a subdomain via provide (*.dd.vu) - you can however map your custom domain for free after ordering. You need to specify a single EXPOSE so our load balancer will know which port to forward http traffic to. But you could theoretically also run anything without exposing a http endpoint.
A sample service running (official nginx docker image - no altercations): https://test.dd.vu/
We do not offer any persistent storage volumes yet, so you will have to use other solutions for now (S3, MongoAtlas, etc.). But if enough customers are interested we will offer that sooner than later.
Let me know what you all think and if this something that can be useful
