I think it should be said that all you're doing is hosting an extremely outdated version of IPB (1.3) that was available for free prior to IPB v2, which required a paid license.

No problem with that and it does say that on our FAQ page that the base is 1.3 final, the last free version of IPB.

However, the board software has been worked on. It has been completely patched up. Not the same as if you were to download 1.3 final and install it on your server today. There are a lot of changes. To say that it is simply 1.3 final as-is just isn't true.

The service started back in 2006 and it has been upkept since then; we didn't just install it and let it sit.
