This would bother me, why would they be blocking it unless it is illegal. Could someone explain why they would be blocking him and why anyone would want to supply this guy with unlimited IP's (I understand for a monthly fee) which they would probably just block the whole block of IP's. I am confused. :confused4

If I remember it correctly, China don't even allow porn to exist, so they go all out to block em(correct me if im wrong)

In essence, no. Assuming China doesn't just block an entire range of IP addresses that the host draws from, a host with a special arrangement like this would simply assign dedicated IP addresses to the site owner.

I was just wondering if china is real fast at this and lets say they block 5 address a week, wouldn't this keep costing the hosting company because he said he can only pay so much a month and would bascially like to keep refreshing his IP's every time they get blocked?

Well the way I would handle this is continue to charge the customer for the IPs and he can retain control over them to use as he pleases. If he stops paying for an IP I would charge him a fee becasue basically, the IP is useless and the host or IP owner would have to plead the case to the Chinese government (no experience with this, I don't know if it will work) to get it unblocked. Of course the host could just drop the IP at the same time his client does and therefore the responsibility of that appeal would lie with the data center or IP provider.
 
And I get called on for wanting to upload anime? And you gonna break a countries code for porn. Dam what is the world comin too?
 
How can the chiese government block IP addresses of items that are hosted in the U.S.? Block the IP's only for China? For everyone? I'm confused. Because if the servers are in the U.S. the Chinese government really dosen't have control voer legal porn. This seems like an awful lot of work for the host.

what he is saying is that , the Chinese goverment will stop all Chinese internet users from visiting porn site, but put the IPs of the pore site into blacklist.

when someone tries to visit that site, the ISPs in China will give you a "page not found" or some error like that.

Dynahost: You are correct, and it's not only porn that's filtered out. All international media coverage and criticism of the communist republic of China is filtered out.
