I need MyAcen to come out with a special or something, my mom is still stumbling to write the check!

Is there any other hosts that are as reliable as MyAcen and has more/almost same features, mabe for a bit less?

http://cyberwings.com is cheaper than Myacen, although I can't speak for what kind of support or reliability they offer.

It's the same company, just a different design.

The .net is on the new server while the .com is on the old. New signups will be put on the new server so I think they're dumping the .com, not sure though.
