How to check speed dsl ?

Speakeasy.net rates my D/L at 34mbps
dslreports.com rates my D/L at 6.5mbps

I built this network, I know speakeasy is correct.

They both say about the same for me. Keep in mind, a speed test is only as reliable as the hops in between them and you.....but looking at Speakeasy, I see a lot has changed since I stopped using them and started using dslreports... I kinda like it :D
 
Does it work for most countries?

the check page seems not work for me.

It will work for all countries, but it may not be as accurate as speed is determined by geographical location. The further from the server you are, the lower the speed.
 
I download at 53.6kb...not too extravagant for my 512k connection. Was hoping for 55kb-57kb, but than again it is overseas.

The Speakeasy test has always been the most accurate for me.

Download Speed: 2790 kbps (348.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 701 kbps (87.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
