I don't think he is running asp on a linux box - and Cpanel does not run on window servers.

Additional information: There is software that will allow you to run asp on linux servers, but they are not reliable - and the software is not free.

If you want a reliable solution for asp.net continue to look for a windows hosting.

if you are running asp.net 1.1 - just make sure you upload the dll to the bin folder. AND be sure you have the bin folder in the same location as you do on your test server/computer.

If you are running asp.net 2.0 - you don't need to compile your asp code - but if you do - do the same as you would with 1.1.

I would recommend looking for hosting that has both asp.net 1.1 and 2.0. For future enhancements. I would rather recommend look at programming in 2.0. Programming in both - I find asp.net 2.0 much better - with better functionality.

A host can't trash another host's offer, but... have a think about the costs of running a server and a company to support the server (how much would you work for?). If you look through the dedicated requests that will give you an idea of the hardware costs. Do the maths as part of your selection of your new host :)
 
your right there - i think i was being way to gready into what i want... I think i need to re-sum up my needs and prehaps make a new host, i am currently learning asp.net so i dont think i really need that at the moment, as i'm running what i make mainly on dev pc's locally =)

i dont mean to offend any of the offers here, some of them look really good, and maybe in the future i'd consider you. I am going to close this down and start a new thread with my ACTUAL realistic needs.
