I have seen this in ads by automobile companies and realstate.
For example you can get a real in-car experience with this effect.

Basically you get two photos at right angles; join them to have the perspective view.
You can scan through it 360 degrees panning with mouse.

Has anyone got any idea how to achieve this?

I haven't tried those software mensioned above yet.
But can I have interactivity to the scene using those softwhere. I want not only for the user to zoom but also to pan and rotate along both X & Y axis.(on the web page)
The effect is actually a walkthrough.
