Guide to the Perfect Latin American Idiot

For those who love political satire on Latin America this is your book... do a search on amazon. I just ordered it and I hear it is deep and descriptive about what the problems really are for Latin America.

This is a review from the website:

This guide to the defective habits and moronic language that intellectuals in Latin America are wont to use is indispensable for policy analyst's who are firmly grounded in the exigencies of critical thinking. It's tempting to say that never have so many been bamboozled by so few, but it has happened throughout the 20th century and continues today. Perhaps the backlash against Leftist dogma in the wake of the Taliban's suicide bombing of the World Trade Center in NYC and the Pentagon in Washington will continue to lead the world toward something resembling intellectual sanity.

The absurd intellectual musings of hopeless Socialista's in charge of governmental policies in too much of the 3rd world, south of the border in this instant case, are skewered in this witty, informative guide to the manipulation of those easily swayed by false promises. The fact that this book is written by three former Leftist intellectuals who saw the light makes it that much more enjoyable to those of us who dissent from the same nonsense being peddled throughout the media and academia in America today.

If you are Spanish and of a sound mind that values critical thinking you will find this tomelette a particularly good read. The nations of South America can only evolve into modern democracies and free-market economies if they undergo the a purging of the ideological demons that fill the mental environment created by their intellectual elite's. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

It is truely a classic... I read two pages and I burst out laughing... and even anybody could get it... it isn't just political it goes striking at the core of Latin America's social problems... and several Latin Americans who wrote that book strongly criticize Latin America as a whole. :D
