Free Web Space, FPT and Remote Linking?

I need to find somewhere that will allow me to upload via FTP and will also allow me to use it purely for lil pics E.G. little Doll Gifs - and remote link them to my site.

I cannot load them straight into my site as I dont have enough disk space so I want to be able to host the pics somewhere else and just insiert them like <img scr=http://www.freenmehere.com/myname/mypic.gif> <A href="http://www.meagogo.co.uk"</a>

Anyone know somewhere i can do this form?

Most free hosts do not allow hotlinking as they is no way they can gain revenue from it. Why not try a host like http://cdiweb.us and move your entire site over there, so you won't have to hotlink?

I personally would not suggest them, due to the incredible ammount of ads.
I know its a free service, but personally I'd much rather pay than use a service like that, which is riddled with ads.

Quite true. I personally haven't tried them (tried uploading a file. but never actually made a link to it to see how it works - I just wanted to test the waters)

Another idea would be to compress the graphics files already on the server, to save space, but that was probably already thought of.

An idea that people here mention all the time is, instead of hotlinking, link to an html file on the other webspace provider, i.e. instead of hotlinking only to the image file, put the image file on a page then link to the page. That way, the second webspace provider gets to show off its ads. Not ideal but you can't get blamed for that.

you could try http://www.boomspeed.com/. they allow direct linking. i don't know about ftp though.
