free vent

Anyone know where I might find free vent hosting? Or if anyone can host a vent server for me. There will less than 10 people using it.

you could however setup your own vent on your comp if your ISP permitts servers

he is talking about ventrilo it's a software like skype but you login to a vent (a server) and speak with all the people in there depending on what room there in ect

you can install it wherever you would like but the non commercial version only has 8 user max. Also a home installation would lag like crazy

it should still be free if you got like a ~$15 VPS and ran the linux version on there.

it is free....but oinly up to 8 max users unless you have a commercial license and the commercial server software.

so spending $15 on a vps for an 8 slot server would make no sense....seeing how you can get a ventrilo server for about .50c/slot
