Are there any free web hosting sites that support direct downloads?

Yes, quite a few. I know I do.
But, for us who do allow them, we don't offer oodles of space. Or, some people like to put file size restrictions, ew. Anyways, browse the offers forum.

there will be but not many. since direct downloads will waste plenty of bandwidth if make no sense for free web host to offer this for free.
