I can get u banned.
I'm not much for download managers. It seemed like I downloaded things 0.2k/sec faster with that program back when i was on dialup. It would also depend on which type of server you are downloading from. If there is a strict bandwidth throttle on the server, a program like that might be able to break through the throttle and give you faster download speeds. Otherwise, to me it's nothing more than adware.
