Hello,
I have viewed many posts and emails from cybertoad.net
at a few places on the net.
Let me first say they continue to claim we stole their site.

In 1998 we hired a third party and gave them 3 domains we wanted.
Back then domains we $75.00 a pop. We hardly could go around hi-jacking domains at that price.
We never knew anything at all until we received a nasty and aggressive email saying we stole the site name. Over the years after we tried to be civil with Cybertoad.net but they chose the low road and go about bashing us.

We have no animosity towards you, but after all these years let it go.
We offered to sell it to you for near nothing and you wanted us to eat it and give it away.

Show it was porn site before we had it. There is no mention of anything showing you owned it at anytime.

We cant stop you from holding a grudge, but we had nothing to do with you losing your domain. And there is no proof you ever had possession after the prior owners lost it.

We even changed our domain business to another name, hardly someone out to get you as you keep claiming.

Those of us out here would appreciate it if you would let it go and move on.
For the record we had nothing to do with how we bought the domain or how it got to us, we paid ppl they did what we wanted. End of Story !!!

yeah thats a point, i doubt your message will get through though, as amz ( cybertoad ) is banned on these forums?(i think that was the case, but maybe no longer).

i thought amz was always going on about cybertoad had been around for 10 years, did they change their name ? or was he reffering to the company as a whole and not just that branch of it ?

Abolutely wrong! We have never claimed you stole our site!

It is a well known fact that the reason we lost the domain was because
of a registrar error and that has nothing to do and was long before
you or anyone else ever came into the picture.

Wrong yet again! You contacted us on your own a number of years ago asking
if we would be interested in the domain and we offered you $500.00 for the domain
name which you promptly refused and that was the end of the discussion since
we only made the offer in response to your contacting us and had no real interest
in getting the .COM domain back again anyway.

Apparently, the author of this thread needs to really get his facts straight
because he is drumming up a lot of confusion and apparently doesn't
know himself anything about the subject that he is talking about!

Synopsis ...

MrCybertoad starts talking about CYBERTOAD.COM and then
goes on to mix in references to us (We are CYBERTOAD.NET) and
then mixes in comments about "stolen site" letters which actually did not
come from us but rather yet another 3rd party who owns yet another
Cybertoad domain if things were not complicated and confused enough.

Here is a brief rundown of all the main CYBERTOAD domains:

CYBERTOAD.COM -- This domain was originally owned by us back
in 1996 through 1998 but was accidentally lost and we have never
tried to recover the domain and we have never complained about
anyone else having it either. Yes, a porn company purchased the
domain out from under us but did not last very long and when
they were shutdown, someone out on the west coast (USA)
purchased it which presumably is MrCybertoad here. We have
never contacted MrCybertoad nor made any claims nor accusations
against him so the statement he made above is completely false but
might not be intentional on his part as you will see below.

CYBERTOAD.NET,
CYBERTOAD.ORG,
CYBERTOAD.BIZ,
CYBERTOAD.INFO -- All of these are valid domains for Cybertoad Networks
and the primary domain that we use and have been using for a great many
years is our CYBERTOAD.NET domain.

CYBERTOAD.US -- Like the original CYBERTOAD.COM domain but much more
recently, we also lost this domain to someone buying it out from under us.
This domain was purchased by a private individual who coincidentally lives
just down the street from me in the same city and routinely also uses my
long time handle all over the entire internet "Cybertoad" which double
confuses everyone since most people who see this person being from
the same city as me with the same name as me, think they are talking
to me but instead talking to this other Cybertoad online. I have
never met this person but I know that SHE is actually FEMALE.

NONE OF THE 3 CYBERTOAD'S HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH ONE ANOTHER!

MrCybertoad, just like you, we were also contacted by the other
"Cybertoad" during last year accusing us of stealing their name
online even though that "Cybertoad" person only started using the name
"Cybertoad" online in just the last 3 years and you and I both have been
using the name since at least the start of the new millennium if not before!

Hopefully this helps sort out the confusion ....

MrCybertoad, you seriously owe us a really big apology as you wrongfully
accused us of making accusations we didn't make and confused us with
someone else in the process and then went on to use your own confusion
to get everyone else confused by posting this thread.

I think cybertoad.net sounds better than cybertoad.com anyways.
Maybe I just got used to hearing it? lol

ROFL! Apparently you didn't read my post above! :lol:

Archive.org (and WHOIS for that matter) is basically useless
and unreliable for any information prior to 2002!

(Actually it's still unreliable to this day if you also take into account
that we deliberately deflect them to random sites all over the internet)

To those who are curious, just a side FYI to you ....

I still have my original credit card statements and all the original email
and postal mail going back and forth with the registrar when they screwed
up and accidentally canceled the domain.

In case anyone is interested in why I never pursued getting Cybertoad.Com
back though, it was because the registrar paid me $500 plus my choice of
any 10 domain names of my choosing free of charge to compensate me for
the mistake in deleting cybertoad.com on the condition I dropped the matter
and not pursue further action against them and that was definitely a
deal I couldn't refuse especially considering domains were a lot more
expensive back then too.
