Crazy PPC listings!

Hey I just searched the max bids tools at overture and I found out the #1 result for "gambling" is bidded at $10.01 per Click. Is that not crazy, how do they expect to make money when they are playing $10 per click?

You would be surprised at the traffic you get from having a high bid :cool2:

Whilst I am not with overture, I cash in my goclick revenue for bids, I don't go for top spot, but top 10 and one would be happy with the result. Obviously gambling is making enough revenue to afford $10, I just had 5 cents maximum :confused2

I would not go above 20 cents per click for any #1 spot on any engine. $10 per click, thats insane, overture generates an amazing number of searches per day. So at just 40 clicks a day, thats $400 gone.

i cant even afford one click. lmao. that is so insane, he can give me $10 and ill generate clicks for them.

Those must be good visitors, $10 is a hefty price to pay per click. Hey can I get $10 for clicking on someone's sig?

lmao, yeah when you think about it people that search for gambling are ready to gamble lots of money. so they click it and it would be worth $10 a click. it would rake it lots of money.

yeah and they go from $10 to $7 etc. I wonder what p0rn would be as a link, im not searching it, my dads here, lol. That is sooo bad, I really cant get over it. Ack. I have a sudden urge to click on all the links for gambling so they all get charged, lmao.

I don't understand that program does that mean people who search for those things and click on them get paid or does it mean that the people who own those sites pay search engines to get a higher listing?

yeah the last one you said, the owners of the site pay the search engine for every click they end through. shocking really. makes me want to open up a search engine.

so the search engine is getting 10$'s per click??? Wow is that how search engines make money?? Do all search engines do that or just some? Do places like google altavista have those pay click searches?

Of course if anyone wanted to get on the top I wouldn't charge a measly 10 dollars I would charge 100000 dollars.....err maybe not maybe lower like 5$ but still.......there are like millions of categories 1,000,000 X 5 X number of clicks on the top which could be like 400= 20.000.000 and that would be in one day!!!

Text documents take up alot of space???

and still with that kind of money being brought in I think they can handle bandwith and space charges......wouldn't they be running their own servers?

yeah probably but the fact of how many text files they have would scare me, each search returns over 100,000 pages probably, or something like that. thats an awful lot.

$10 per click for a casino listing is hardly nothing i have seen, $35.00!

If you signup one gambler, expect him to loose alot of $$

35$ per click??? That's ridiculous not all the people are going to sign up who go there and suppose a search engine rep just started clicking on it.....oh wait that's illegal but still 35$?? if I put that in instead of 5 in the equation..........
