Cox High Speed Internet?

I live in California and i want to host myself and someone said that i would half to check with them and see if they allow ftp and a server ran so can someone who has this service please help my find somewhere where i can find out if i can or cannot
please help me quick

I use Cox as well and you cannot have a server with them.

as stated in the FAQ
Q Can I run a server from my home?
A No. That is not part of the current product offering.

Now that COX is thier own network,you cant even upgrade to @work like before when they were with Excite.

most internet providers dont allow the running of home servers but a lot of them do anyway. Most of the free hosts that are in the us are probably in violation with the TOS of their provider.
