Could you please see if you can access a site as I'm receiving an error message.

Hi,

I didn't quite know where I should post this thread so I thought that this may be the best place.

Well anyway I want to access a site of mine, but I can't seem to do it as I am receiving the following error:

Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:

Code:
A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.

So could someone please also try to go to this site to see if you can access it or if you also get the above error.

The site is: [url]http://www.simplysearch4it.com[/url]

Thanks!

OK!

It is still not loading up in the UK by the looks of things. It seems to be OK from other countries apart from the UK.

I'm also from the UK and it isn't loading at all.

I now realise that my hosting company has had a few problems with their server, which is most likely to be the cause, but it should hopefully be working everywhere in the World soon.

Romania here: loads OK :)
Make sure you make them take care of the problems. You deserve a good service ;)

So far this is the only major problem that I have every had with my hosting company and I have been with them for just over 2 years now.

Eventually, when I get more money, I will buy my own hardware and then host my site on my own servers.

It's response times and routers that the traffic goes through to get to the destination. It seems wierd that it bounces to Amsterdam and back again??

The trace is through Pipex.

What is Pipex? Is it a piece of software or a website. I would like to know this as I will be hosting my sites on my own servers in a year or two time and I will need to learn things like this.
