the last C&C game was Generals.

Woj, you should take a look at the trailer for Tiberium Wars. The graphics and cut scenes are awesome

Nope, it only needs DX9c.
I played the Demo and I can't wait to get C&C 3 when I get the chance to.
The Demo is so much fun even though there's not many avaliable options and features.

Yeah, the game is great. It's classic C&C... I was expecting EA to ruin it, heh.

The game runs well. 1680x1050, 8xS AA, 16x AF, everything max on my modest e6300/1GB/7900GS box.

I was able to grab a copy today and having never played a previous version of C&C, I found it quite enjoyable and ended up wasting a lot of time.

I tested the game on an old computer with P4 2.8GHz + 1GB RAM + GeForce FX5200 and it ran quite smoothly on low/medium settings. Frame rates to deop when you have entire armies fighting on screen, for a budget card it handled it quite well.
