Are you hooked on resellers or something? I have my own server. Mike (Webmaster of CBSHost) is one of my staff members and helped me revise my hosting plans a long time ago. One of my best members is CommunityOne. He has one of my reseller plans. (R1 to be exact.) He is around here sometimes. I also have a number of people from here using my free plan.

Ping my server is you want.

Hmmm? I'm one of your best? Well, I'd reccomend DeepList over any host... 512MB of RAM in that server of his, and I use Deeplist hosting, since August 4th now. :D Very fast... compared to the other hosts I have tried in the past. :)

I also use Yipes Bandwidth, unlike most who use Cogent.

:biggrin2: God... what crap.

Most do not use Cogent. Most people who use Cogent have Cogent in the mix with other providers. Providers such as WilTel + NTT/Verio + Yipes are now in the same price bracket $30-$75/mbps based upon 100mbps+ commitment:)

Get your facts straight before you make claims. But a very nice fictional claim.:)

Well, Truth is Yipes isn't cheap. Its around $60-100 per MBPS.
And most companies aren't using it if they use cogent, most use NNT, epik..

Qwest/Level3 are the most used providers. There actual backbones are used by lots of providers :)

hehe, i was using about the combination of cogent with some other bandwidht provider.

Most companies using cogent, use NTT/Verio, epik and bandwidth providers like that.

Level3/Qwest are the most expensive, but its worth it. They do provide outstanding bandwidht :)

I think you misunderstand. Level3 & Qwest actually provide backbone connecitivity for bandwidth providers as well as providing bandwidth themselves direct to clients. EPIK uses Level3 and so does Yipes. But what I mean is instead of building your own worldwide backbone. Some providers use providers who actually have built one already such as Qwest or Level3 and buy bandwidth from them and just build a local loop network around that. (ie: Yipes or EPIK).

Cogent has its own National(US) backbone and its "peers" with other providers. Unlike Yipes or EPIK who buy transit bandwidth from providers.
