Calling old cars enthousiasts

The old lady across my street wants to sell a car.

It's a 1975 Pontiac Trans Am. Not sure yet as of the engine specs.
<1000km for sure but I didnt check actual mileage.

Her husband bought it brand new back in 1975 but he died not long after. So the car has been sitting in her garage for 29 years now.

It needs new tires or just reput air in them, as all the air came out during those 29 years. Springs/shocks maye have to be changed caus it's kind of low, or maybe its just the lack of air in the tires.

She says it starts fine but some minor engine jobs woud of course be needed to make it as solid as it was before.

The car is all covered in dust and would need a good washing to make it shine :)

So my question would be, how much would it be worth right now without and with the required repairs done.

With that low mileage it is worth quite a fair bit. I'd say about $20k Canadian, but without being sure on the exact model / condition of the engine.

whatever you spend on it, make sure you've got enough left over to buy a wifebeater. :p

What sort of condition is the body in? any visible rust or blemishes?

Whats a floor pan?

There is no rust from what I saw, original paint/body and all.
But I'll have to inspect it a little closer next time.

And I think you missundrstood my post :)
I'm not interested in buying it. She asked me if I could help her sell it.

This italian ex-police down the street tried to buy it off her for a mere 1500$ cdn.
I might do a shitload of pics and put it on the net so people could come down and make some offers. Or she was thinking of asking her son to invest 5000$ on it to bring it back to pristine condition to sell it for even more. But he isnt too fond ot that. He's a school principal in ottawa, and he's ego is too big to work on some old car her adoptive-mother has ;)

Get under the car and check the metal that the interior sits on. It's NOTORIOUS for sneaking in rust. It might just be a little surface rust, better to catch it now rather than later.

Check around the battery box too.
