Which is the best php forum with lots of features, and no ads.
And the best remotly hosted forum.

For features the best board is IPB (invision board) As far as speed and efficieny go, ipb is not the best; Its a bit bloated.

For all around i'd say phpBB, followed by fud. (fud.prohost.org)

If its speed and simplicty you want, try mercuryboard (www.mercuryboard.com)

There is no one best board. Each board has its on high and low points.

as far as remotely hosted forums I have no idea.

They are the best remotely hosted Invision Power Board. Although you can't import/create your own skin... I only would recommend them if one is really desperate for a forum.

Hey KBC, I really don't see why one should choose InvisionFree over the tons of other boards that do allow one to customize the colors.

It has more features and its nicer to work with.


I think phpBB is the best if you pretty knowledgable about php . It has so many hacks that if you work on it a bit, it will have more features than IPB or vB.

They have pre-installed skins and I think you can still customize the color. Anyways its not like any free remote hosted board service really lets you "personalize" it.
