All you rackshack customers read this

If you own a raq server from rachshack could you please tell me:

• How many domains do you have hosted?
• What's the URL to your site hosted by them?
• Is the support fast?
• How much bandwith/mo do you use?
• How much space?
• Can you install things like MySQL pretty easy?
• Do you consider the server fast?

I had some more Q's, but If I think of them-I'll PM you.

I'm not hosted by Rackshack but i do have my own RAQ so i can answer some of these questions for you. Providing your on about the Dedicated Server Packages that is :

1 - You can host upto 200 domains on an RAQ but personally i wouldnt put more than 130 on a server.

2 - The servers come with 20 GB of storage.

3 - MySQL can be loaded onto the server through the control panel like most software for an RAQ.

If you mean virtual accounts then i can't help you. Other than to say be very warey of the unlimited bandwidth/transfer they tell you that you can have.

I just want to hear what rackshack customers say and think about rackshack.
Also, I want to see how fast some of their sites are....

Yes, I do since March 2001

Is the support fast?

Usually they reply within 24 hours, sometimes in 2-3 days. I contacted support 5 or 6 times to get additional services (IP addresses, monitoring, RAM upgrade etc.)

How much bandwith/mo do you use?

About 2GB a month as you know

Can you install things like MySQL pretty easy?

Yes, just installed MySQL 3.23.40. Not harder than on any other Linux box. There is also a "lamer" one-click installation from Cobalt's .pkg files available, but I don't use it anymore since Cobalt is late with putting the latest versions of MySQL into pkg.

Do you consider the server fast?
