If you recieved the same spam, you can just reply to this thread, and.. i dunno, maybe we can start a newsletter or something.

I got an IM from him like 3 hours ago: "hey do u need hosting"

I had an away message on and just ignored him.

I did not ask for my AIM address to be posted there, so I would like you to remove it.

I also want any reference to WO Hostings.com removed from the category name, representing AIM Spam. As the AIM messages arent coming from WO Hostings, yet are coming from a user of AIM.

This is a funny post.

You go on to admit that it's your AIM name and that you've been spamming people. Then you also say you represent wohsoting, yet the AIM user and comapny aren't related?

And are you also asking people on the forum to spam for you? Looks like a censored domain coming up!

I removed a post this morning from someone looking for free hosting and he/she just happened to have your plans tacked onto the end of his post.
 
Ahh okay; so I was wrong.

You were only offering free hosting to people who spammed for you. My bad.
 
Your domain was registered 6 days ago and there are already spam reports. That isn't a good sign for a new company. Apart from that Jan is very detailed and should have been a PI so it's not worth trying to lie if it was you. :) If it was someone else trying to refer people to get free hosting then perhaps you need a better policy. You should definitely have a policy against spamming your URL in order to refer a friend. The other thing I find odd is why would this person be trying to refer people to a brand new company without any type of referral ID in the URL?

I won't say you definitely did it but honestly things don't look squeaky clean to me...
 
There is always the possibility these are people who are trying to take advantage of his free hosting offer, at any means possible. It doesnt mean he has "hired" people to spam, or that he offered free hosting to people who do spam, he mearly offered free hosting to anyone who refered 2 people, and there are some cheap---- people out there who have no scruples.
 
I think this is crap. That referer thing never really works out all to well, in this case you get accused of spamming or getting people to spam for you.

Not good for business.
