Been trying this out for a bit. and the ulmb.com server/hosting is fast & reliable.
and it's quick & easy to set up your site.

But I have only one small problem with ulmb.com ,the default robots.txt.
Well, to me it's more of a major problem.
-------------------------------
User-agent: Fasterfox
Disallow: /
-------------------------------
Disallow: / Means: To exclude ALL robots from the server.
Meaning no search engine is going to index any part of any new ulmb sites.
and I think User-agent: Fasterfox should be User-agent: *
Is this an error? or on purpose? I don't know.

and yes, I see other ulmb.com sites in google searches,
but that was probably many years ago when it wasn't set to block All pages.
Need to add: Allow: /index.html and possibly Allow: /index.php for other users.

Uploading my own robots.txt file doesn't work either.
Google activates some hot link protection from ulmb, and starts a download counter instead of allowing google to read the robot.txt file.

Welp, if u can't fix that for free, then I'm off to find another free host on this site. which is why I'm here again.
I never seen a free host that actually blocks all pages from search engines. I would think the free host would want to get traffic. I guess not.
and I always add a link to my free host on my site to.

Welp, thanks for any help or info. :)

Those two lines tell the fasterfox firefox extensions not to preload links, to save bandwidth and cpu resources, fasterfox is really nasty to the server, almost like a DDoS if many users are online with it.
It does not block search engines or robots, the user-agent line tells it to only disallow fasterfox, and allow everything else.

If user-agent was changed to * then it would block all search engines.
If you have a paid account you can use your own robots.txt that overrides the default.

If I were to sign up for a account with you I could not use my own robots.txt? I have a site that I absolutely do NOT want in search engines at all.
