3rdRockHosting down?

Their site is up, albeit painfully slow, but that could be a number of things.

What site is it you have hosted with them?
 
It's up for me here in Singapore too. But loading slow as Decker mentioned before.

maybe a DDoS?
 
Hmm... Now 3rdRockHosting loads significantly faster than the tortoise-like speed before... maybe they were having maintenance of some sort. Why don't you open a support ticket and ask them?
 
I'll confirm that both sites loading okay.

Some traces point to dns and/or routing problems.

Look at this months uptime. Not the overall. April is at 98.06 %. You go by the monthly uptime when it comes to uptime guarantees not the overall. :p If you went by the overall uptime, then when it dropped below 99% you'd be giving away hosting for like 2 months until it picked back up, it's a pain recovering your uptime once it's dropped, takes forever.
