Once again, there are these types of hosts. I won't go into much detail on why these hosts are not that great.

But if you can allow people to modify their own files that would be great.

Then again, you might come around and say that, "It is a very big security risk."

Really now, the only security risk I see is if the hacker can get a hold of either your MySQL.php file or your conf_global.php file, everything else doesn't have much info except thumbs.db or .htaccess.

nope no securaty risk, just that if you edit one file it edits the file for all the boards hosted.
