250k still way to low to setup a nice looking site change to the file size limit for different type of files

Zip rars 3mb
videos mp3s 4mb
jpgs & bmps 1mb
other files 4mb
that would work

Thank you for the feedback. I believe this is similar to the information you already presented in your previous posts. Our concerns over limits have not changed since that time. Thanks for taking a look.

To answer your question: Anyone who signs up for the long haul. It is not a trick, but a service. Thanks for taking a look.

250K is fine for a NORMAL website. What you keep suggesting is for people who have porn sites, download sites, etc.

Tso: Its nice you did take the advice to raise the minimum to a normal setting. I will still maintain that it would look more professional to offer reduced settings, and then if needed upgrade as necessary. No one will approach 1TB anything with the restriction in place, so lowering it to say 500 MB/10GB to start with, and upgrade as needed would be much more professional and not lead people to think you are overselling (which technically you are) and will disappear at the end of the week.

Dude will never change so leave if he wanted to do it right different type of files would get differnet size limits but nothing like that will ever happen. Most of the sites that will be with this host will only use 50mb to 100mb with a 250k max file size the is no chance anybody will ever to use 1/12 space

250 kb and 1tb quota is like making postcard size photos of each individual and hosting them in gallery in any one of biggest populated countries :D

TSO is a PreProcessor marketer. He's a nice guy, though his service role is as a connector, not a long term owner.

I think the concept of a "normal" site is growing to include varieties of materials, and there I agree that a 250K file limit is too small. I would roughly call 10Meg as a good ballpark file size limit. You're not gonna get whole movies that small, but project component files are always above 250K lately, though with some work, they can be scrunched down to under 10 megs.

I agree the mismatch of "1TB" is shock marketing. I wouldn't accuse him of overselling, because I try to give companies the benefit of the doubt of simple planning math. However it is absolutely true that it creates a "usage curve" that *effectively* reduces the *actual* scaling expenses to something like a 5Gig host ... but that wouldn't draw eyeballs! : )
