yearly fee, inexpensive host?

I've been on -------- for a couple of sites I admin for and I like their price and features; now I need to get a host for another site but -------- has been closed to new signups for 3 months now, I'm not sure when they'll be re-opening.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a host that is similar to them in terms of price and features (looking at --------'s cheapest plan)? Instant signup and quick support would be nice as they have that too..

If I might ask, can I get responses from NON-web host owners here?

Thanks!

why is the host name censored in my msg? that's kinda dumb... all I wanted was to show what are the features I'm looking for.

anyway, the main features needed are basically php, mysql, space no larger than 50mb needed, bandwidth really no larger than a few gb/month (<10) needed... email accounts unlimited would be nice, but something like 10 would be sufficient too. ssh access would be really nice but not necessary.

Why do so many have a problem with reading skills here? :shame: A few more hosts to avoid as I clean them all up.

Here are few established hosts you might take a look out. If you are going to pay yearly it is probably best to choose one that has been around at least a year ;)

Archbob also recommended a good one.

thanks for your suggestions archbob and jan.
i just wanted to make sure, these ones you suggested are likely to be around for a while, and are not started by high school students right? i'm not really up to date in the web hosting scene (haven't been around any forums of this sort for a long time) so i just want to make sure.. and no offense to genius programmers in high school who owns a good hosting company, but i just want to make sure of things.

inogenius of sonataweb is at college - I can't comment on the other two at this stage (I just chose a few that I know have been around for over a year). myacen (solidinternet) has been hosting for must be three years now. I am sure he will correct me if I am wrong :p

feature-wise as well as price cirtexhosting looks to be the best at this point... I was about to choose solidinternet but I just realized from another thread they have no perl support =/ not that I still use perl anymore but just in case..
so it looks like I'll be going with cirtexhosting. thanks!
