+/- of Free Portal Systems

Hi

I see a lot of free portal systems like phpNuke, postNuke, Syn@pse, Xoops, ezPortal, DCP-Portal, phpWebsite, etc. But we don't have time to install all of them and see how it works. It would be nice, if you guys share your experiences of any of them you have used with their minus & plus points.

I find all portal systems (especially so with PHP Nuke and its clones) look the same, this makes them boring and not very interesting. If you use one of these you have lost the whole point of creating a webpage. Webpages are becoming to commercial these days and portal systems are just adding to this.

I kinda run a website which looks like a portal system but it isn't, but I must say I'm not a fan of PostNuke or PHPNuke... they all look the same, I've seen so many of them that all of them are identical, perhaps a bit of color difference, but there's no originality in them... the user doesn't need to do anything but click a few links and add a bit of content... personally I don't like them.
