Since purchasing a Webhosting package from LN Host, and then receiving all the detail through, I now can't access their website, LN Host despite the fact that the money was taken from my account. At first when I purchased the package, they didn't respond so I lodged a complaint against them through Paypal. Once they realised they'd had a complaint against them, they sent through my details, but now I can't access the website at all!

Does anyone have any idea as to what has happened to them?
 
Funny how they are still advertising the webspace? This was only a few weeks ago that I purchased the webspace, yet it appears that LN Host was for sale back in April!

Back to Paypal then I guess!

Can anyone recommend a good webhosting package then? I'm looking to have a website that I can upload DJ mixes to, each mix is around 600Mb! As much bandwidth as possible too!

I already have a domain name...
 
You should state how many GB of space and bw you need. For example 10GB of space? 20GB?... and how about your budget? DJ mixes: you have right to distribute them?
 
The mixes are mine and a few of my friends for now, and eventually will encompass all DJ's that are signed to the agency, all tracks used in the mixes have been authorised for public broadcasting (all tracks are from purchased vinyl which automatically allows this) so I would be looking for a large amount of webspace - possibly 50Gb. Lots of bandwidth too!

I can pay around $30 (£16) per month? I would prefer monthly billing as well!

I think you will find it hard to pay £16 pound a month for 50gb because thats nearly a whole servers space!!

Maybe your better off buying a dedicated server?
 
with your budget, I am sorry. if you are looking for around 50GB of space and lots of bandwidth, a dedicated server is what you want. However, your budget is too low. If you dont need any control panel, considering to raise your budget to $60/mo at least. An additional amount of $20/mo if you want control panel.
 
lnhost...

Do NOT use lnhost.com as a provider. they couldnt keep their servers up with a rocketship and a life time supply of viagra. they've gone down for 2 or 3 DAYS at a time TWICE in a month and they still claim 99.9% uptime.

I tried cancelling within a week and they refused to issue a refund. These guys as well as jc-host which has now merged with lnhost (or been absorbed).

You want to save yourselves a headache do NOT use these guys.

I spent more then enough time with lnhost and he was pushing it off on jc-host but he still works with the jc-host guy and they can't come up with a solution. i paid an annual fee. in less then a day the site when down for about 2 days the first time. i tried to cancel (they said they didnt get the email but i never got a bounce back. hmmm...) they're m.o. seems to be take the money and run. they have no problem with a server going down for DAYS at a time and then making up stories like they were moving something. and have the nerve to not want to give money back. i cancelled in 3 days its taken me a month for it to sink in that i wanted to cancel. at the worst ding me for a month. but i'm going to pay them year's worth of service? for 3 days ( day it was down more then it was up). there excuses have been spammers or they are moving to another datacenter i imagine there servers are being maintained by a bunch of nomads.

They Ripped Me Off

hello i paid for 1 year for ther 5 dollar hosting , they have shut down there website and my website and have not returned my emails, i only had the service for nto even 1 month and ive lost about 80 canadian all together, guys i dont no what to do, im so mad about this .!!!
