latest codec? Please help.

Is there some where I can download the LATEST codec that should (hopefully) update everything so I can pretty much play any video, whether .avi, .mpg, .ram, etc, etc providing I have the right player? I use RealOne Player and Windows Media so I am pretty much set up. I just need a more updated codec - some vids I cannot play.

she said "codec" which means the .dll file used to decompress and view a multimedia file... what type of videos are they? .avi? if so i might actually be divx not avi..

I downloaded that from KaZaA and now the video files I had that wouldn't work, are now working.:D :confused:

You do know you can get DivX Pro for free from their website, don't you? I wouldn't trust third-party third-party programs.
 
THere are alot more codecs you can find on KaZaA. Just search "codec" under software and there will be a few.
 
get the nimo codec pack. there is every codec that you could ever want in there. it is hard to get on the web because it is hosted on free sites. a 9 mb self extractor wont stay up for long.

it IS available over kazaa; thats where I got it.

nimo codec pack I highly reccommend it.
 
Well, one would assume so, carlito. Give it a shot, if it don't work, uninstall it. Just remember for update your virus scanner and scan the file before you run it. :eek:
