Dc hub hosting?

I am looking for some solution to my dc hosting needs.
What i need is a dedicated server or UML/VPS with about 10 mbit transfer

I am not after any 100% uptime and such thing and overbooked/low quality bw is no problem as long as i can fit a couple of 1000 users in there.

Anyone have any ideas.

I prefer month to month payment but if you give me a good deal i can consider.

256 megabyte ram is a MUST more does not hurt. So if you have any old crap you can throw me onto at a low cost i am open to suggestions.

What country your service is based into i do not care aslong you can communicate in English.

Just to clarify! The main purpose ot the server is to run a Direct Connect hub server software.

DC is Direct Connect, so I'm thinking that it will be users on DC that he/she is talking about, it can use a lot of bandwidth. DC is for filesharing and chatting, bit like IRC.
