Can't start my Computer

HI

Whenever I start me computer I get a blue screen with this message.

Computer is shutting down to reduce he damage.....

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space, if a driver is identified in the stop message. Disable the driver or check with manufacture dor driver update. Try changing video adapter.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory option such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable, than restart with safe mode.

What is BIOS or how can I fix this problem?

take everything out that isn't necessary for the machine to boot up, including keyboards and mice, any extra disks, some of the memory if theres more than one stick, text all sticks of memory seperately .... if you have another machine run memtest86 on it, or something similar ....

sorry forgot to mention this is my laptop..

and what is memtest86

no acces

I can't start me laptop and definnetly don't have access to internet to dowload.

I can only start with safe mode.

thanks

If you can start in Safe Mode check the event logs for errors, and disable 'automatically restart' in system properties/advanced/startup and recovery and look for an error code.
We might be able to help more with more info.

press F8 at bootup and choose safe mode WITH NETWORKING,
there you now have the internet

try to uninstall some drivers
display, audio

run memtest

if nothing, reformat

It would be better, if you could specify your laptop, operation system, any changes inside it, were there any problems eariler etc... Then try to google, and after that write it here, so we'll find it at google :D

Well, turn the power on? It might be running off that tiny 'lil' thing in the P.C.

J/k.
Gooogle is your friend buddy :)

wait wait wait... what is BIOS ? :eek2:
if it tells you to change sth in bios, then do that (press del/esc/f1 during starting of machine - there will be an information when you should press it) to go to bios, then find such options and disable it...
but i don't know why it tells you "to reduce damage"... inteligent OS ? nooo...

Oh, and pls again, tell us sth more about your machine :)
cheers

And If I reformat would I lose all the data saved in laptop, and how can I reformat.

if you right click on your local disk and click format disk..
but make sure you have your windows disk so you can reinstall window:)

That wouldn't work, I would just use partition magic to split the disk into two partitions, then move everything you wanna keep onto partition two, and install windows on the first partition formatting in the process ......

You can try using something like PQ Magic to create a partition from empty space on the disk and shove everything else to the end, then reistall the OS and pick through your data to get back what you want and delete the rest then resize the partition(s) to use the whole disk again.
