Hi. OK, didn't really know where to post this, but I guess this is the most relevant forum... I own a service that gives you a webring.org style webring access, and we're starting up an "affiliate program" for it. I use inverted commas because, well, there'll be no money involved... Anyway, the basic idea is that after x number of referals a user generates, they get a banner free webring for a period of time. What we aren't sure on, however, is just how many should we set the rate at? We've been thinking somewhere between 5 and 15, but don't know whether to go low, to get many (hopefully) new users, or to go high and not have to take the banner off so many people's pages. Can I have any oppinions on what you would do? Pretty please?
