A question about computer units

Haven't been up here for a long time.

I was in a car with a few friends and someone mentioned "TG".

I tried googling and got confused when I got home. Can anyone clarify to me that how much is 1 TG? Is it greater than 1 TB or same as 1TB? What's the conversion to 1 TB?

I don't think it is a unit of info. storage. In MB, GB, etc. the B stands for byte. What would the G stand for in TG...?

Your friend is confused or having you all on id say.

I could be wrong, but as far as i know, all the PC related units are refered to in Bytes.
Bytes, Kilobytes, Megabytes, Gigabytes, Terabytes ect

Next would be the Petabyte.

Yeah, I asked him what TG stands for at that moment, but he said he didn't know.

on here, there is this external hdd:

That's just someone tagging it as 1TG, they probably just did a typo, if you actually hover the product it says 1TB.
