A bit of a forum dilemma

Hi.

Im about to open a site which has quite a bit of demand. I want to run a forum script on it. But, I dont know what to use.

I am willing to pay for vBulletin, but is it the best script out there? Which sould I use?

yes! wbb 1.2 rocks. like vbulletin, it doesn't rely entirely on css for table and font styles/colors/sizes, which phpbb or invisionboard does... a big plus in my opinion.

invisionboard kicks ass featurewise, but forums driven entirely on style sheets and <span class="asdf"></span> tags really turn me off.

Not much point going with www.ikonboard.com if you can't reach their site. Seems to be a name dispute with the invisionboard founder.
