Since it's down for many days now it seems that another free host went out of business :cry2: The features and the idea of FiaNetworks has been good ones but this example shows clearly how difficult it is for newbies to run a webhosting business, especially a free one without ads.

They offer 250MB space and 5GB bandwidth :classic2: plus ~50% downtime :wink2:

When FiaNetworks is experiencing a DOS attack it could be difficult to connect to the server. But have a look at FiaNetwork's "downtime history" - as impressive as their features.... :wink2:

Their uptime seems to be less than 50%, so many server problems. I'm sure they will give an explanation for this downtime, but it's much too unreliable and therefore not suitable for many websites.

Is it only me who can't connect to http://fianetworks.com or are they down again :confused4

Good choice :classic2: I have an account with atspace.com and so far they have been very reliable and I haven't noticed any downtime. Server speed is fast, too :classic2:

I think it's some sort of un-metered bandwidth: As long as your bandwidth usage doesn't affect other users in a negative way it's ok. But even 30GB should be more than enough as pure download websites and filesharing accounts are not allowed. :shame:

You can use I.E. as a FTP client, but make sure "passive mode" is enabled. And when your username contains @ you might get problems.
