managed wordpress hosting

www.web1000.com

Yeah, I also used WEB1000.com (still do as a mirror) however I find that the amount of downtime seems to be increasing on a weekly basis.

More disturbingly - I have been greeted by a full size pronographic web page pop up upon accessing my site on two occasions. I can't prove that this is Web1000.com doing - but had somebody managed to hi-jack my site:confused: and intercept my (small amount of) web traffic wouldn't the pop up appear all of the time??.

Hmm, a small amount of downtime I can live with, but porn pop ups on a business website do not look professional!.

If you bear in mind the strict over 18 policy when signing up to WEB1000.com and the question on whether your website contains nudity or not looks very suspicious when you consider the nature of the pop up:eek:

Yes, web1000 is very infamous at these boards. Its no where near to new here either, if thats why you were posting it.

That was Web1000 slapping those porn ads on your site. Here is how they work: You put up a site and get traffic, they take down your site and people trying to access it get porn ads and porn 404 pages that make them money.

The previously announced "ads" started appearing today on my Web1000 site -- a text link at the bottom of my newly uploaded index.htm page.

Ads are only placed on certain categories of websites?
