There are many diffent linux distros and not all look like Macs some look like Windows.

You could also code your own UI.

Anyway, I like Linux for server admin, but will probably never use it for desktop computing. I am a Windows guy there, and for anything portable, I prefer the Apple Multitouch interface.

EDIT: That is a nice interface, though!

Stealth One I am using Windows as my main OS as well. I would switch though if it supported my apps natively.

If efficiency, not looks, is what you are after, then all your GUI needs to do is load an xterm.

one of the things I love about OSX is the themes neutral-ness. ubuntu needs to do this too, no more custom skinning apps to work with a theme ect... just a theme that goes with everything. brown/dark colors don't really work for this:S
