There aren't many - I have tried so many free webhosts, paid hosts seem to be much better...

Secure Server (SSL) Support
Webalizer Site Statistics
Majordomo Mailing Lists
MySQL Database
Low Setup Fees ...and more!

That is AMZ Web Hosting

AMZWEB?
looks like payed hosting~

amz also has free hosting...but the time you spend fulfilling their requirements of forced posting on their boards makes it very unappealing. Why bother when there are hosts without such requirements?

Sounds like you went to the wrong site. AMZWEB.COM
is commercial paid hosting. AMZWEB.NET is FREE hosting
and community forums.

this

You must post at least a minimum of 10 qualifying posts in the
forums before you can apply for web hosting. OK

Once you have hosting, you are required to make 50 posts within 30 days to keep your hosting account. That's too much

1. 50 posts in a MONTH isn't very much.. on average I make 50 posts a day divided over various forums......
2. 50 posts is for the mySQL database.. not 50 per month to keep your account. You can keep your account by posting regulaary on their forums (no minimum... just a few posts every now and then)

you are right, if you dont want to make the effort to get something, then your not worth having it. Only the real people taht really want whatever the host is offering will want to do something for it. All others just want to get an account to let it idle and not use.

Seikosys, actually heukw is correct about 50 posts required
in 30 days of your initial hosting application as that is an
actual rule listed in our TOS

HOWEVER, getting 50 posts is EXTREMELY easy to do and
just for the record, we have never had anyone fail to make
their initial 50 posts in 30 days so that rule has never
actually been used.

EVERYONE always goes way beyond 50 posts so it really
doesn't matter. If you didn't make your 50 posts, you
would truly be a unique one for the history books.

If you post nothing but 1 or 2 posts a day for the first month,
you'll surpass the 50 posts easily !!!

Hosting itself only requires 10 posts to open the account
and you can easily do that in one day!

As to heukw, I dare you to post your post on the forums
at AMZ Web Hosting. Our members will gladly bite your
head off as everyone pretty much unanimously agrees
that the posting requirements is a fantastic idea and
we actually get a lot of compliments on it.

EDIT: Just a clarification .... we DO NOT require that
you post 50 posts every 30 days. The posting
requirements only apply to your FIRST INITIAL 50 posts.

Well amz, it seems you discontinued free hosting then the next day it is back. That isn't right. You offer hosting then you have people post 50 posts every 30 days on your forum, then you want more people to post, post, post. What happens when people cannot post anymore due to space limits? You cancel their account?

And, saikosys, you should not be sorry. :classic2:
