whats the diffrence between https and http ?

https:// at the start of a URL means that the connection is being made through SSL, the secured sockets layer.

Bascially, unless you get warnings, it's more likely to be safe to send personal information over SSL-protected pages because they're harder to hack into during transmission. This does not, of course, mean that the place you're sending them to is safe.
