UEFI to replace BIOS in computers as early as 2011

This is like what Mac's use to boot up, and to be honest I prefer it greatly over BIOS. On that note, I am glad BIOS is getting pushed out of the picture now, it really does slow computers right down, and really can screw up if something goes wrong. Hopefully UEFI should be more efficient for the PC market come next year.
If you have a SSD then booting into Windows 7 compared to OSX is pretty close if not the same or Windows is faster.
What's so wrong about that? Depends on the type of laptop.
Was that you? Point? I can still get fast drives in a laptop. My desktop is actually slower in everything apart from graphics, compared to my laptop. So? invalid point is invalid.
