I wanted to know what everyone thinks of the idea of selling hosting for $10-$20/year (not sure on pricing just yet)
But the only deal with this hosting will be that it isn't domain hosting, you could always use mydomain.com for your domain, so that isn't a problem. It will also have as much space as you need, meaning theres no limit on space and no bandwidth limit. FTP Access is available.

This would most likely be for people that would like to store things on the internet, or for those who are starting out and cannot afford the monthly hosts.

Just wanted to get some feedback on this.

So $10-$20 a year for unlimited space and bandwith, with FTP access. I think you should charge more, and also be aware that unlimited space and bandwith at those prices will be eaten up very quickly. I think about $50-$75 a year for all that is good. But if you do charge more i think you should setup PHP and MySQL and maybe Perl/CGI. Apart from that, it sounds cheap, and good.

Great! Now I won't have to go and buy that new 80 GB harddrive I was planning on.

I can't wait to get my 3.25 terrabyte account with these beauties...how can they do it for the price?

michael, everyone knows that there isn't a such thing as unlimited hard drives, but hard drives are cheap and if the space is getting close to being all used up, then more space will be bought. serious comments only please, if anyone is interested in this service cost $14/year, just let me know.

Truthfully, you should never offer unlimited because some people will take it literally.
