Proxy in your server?

Hello

Just wonder fellow hoster. Will a site that have php proxy (You know the script that allow people to browse with proxy) cause your server slow? Since I have in my server a proxy site, when I check the cpu/memory/sql usage he always number 1. With the highest process percentage.

I just wonder if this is happen in your server as well? Just want to know if this is true somehow?
