Premium Hosting FREE with Mister.net

Why are you even bothering to post this in here? This isn't even a free offer .. and don't say "the hosting is free .. you just have to pay for the domain" because that is paid hosting.

I disagree with you. The hosting is free. We do not charge for hosting. What the customer is paying is the new domain registration or the domain transfer.

When you get a free hosting account with geocities, angelfire or tripod, technically that hosting isn't free either because you are reimbursing them by running their banners, pop-unders, pop-ups etc. on your site. So they are getting paid through your efforts because you are the one bringing the visitors to your web site and they are getting paid.

All companies will get paid for hosting one way or the other. Some companies will charge upfront others will devise a way to generate revenues from your efforts. Either way, technically nothing is free in the long run :)

Sure the hosts get paid from advertising, but it isn't coming out of the hostees pocket. If they want a domain name, they can buy one for around $9 from reputable registrars, so inadvertantly they ARE paying for hosting.

BTW you never did respond to this....
I had a look at random sites hosted by you and you are the admin of their domains. There were a couple that had their own, but they are probably the ones who transferred theirs to you. What happens at renewal time for them?

Hi Jan,

Thank you for your post and the question.

All customers get direct access to the Domain Control Panel that allows them to update/edit the domain registrant information. When a customer signs up directly at our site they can enter that information directly and the domain is registered in their name. Some of the customers pay via PayPal or by check. This means that we manually register the domain for them. We send the customer domain control panel password so that they can update the whois info to theirs. Some customers do it right away others take their time and hence you see some whois data still showing mister.net as the registrant. However, the customer is in full control and can update this info within minutes upon logging into their Domain control panel.

Please let me know if this answers your question. Thank you!

Best Wishes,
