Portland... What the hell?

I signed up with Portland a week ago... and now when I go to my site it says:

Not Found
The requested URL / was not found on this server.

What in the hell happened?

Obviously they got rid of your site...

But I didn't do anything... plus I can sign in to check my info or whatever it is they have there.

What'd they do that for?

Maybe you exceeded your transfer limit?

I only put a blog there... hmm. maybe I did. I think I was transferring a lot. Ok then.

They might have made a mistake.. or they were have tech. difficulties. Email them and ask.

Ok, I was reading the restrictions...

The account must not exceed 100MB of transfer each month.
100MB = 10,000 web site hits at 10KB each.

There is absolutely NO way I could've done that with the blog.
And since I just created it... I doubt I can get that many hits.

My Portland site seems to have disappeared too, and every single other Portland site. Looks to me like they're offline. Just wait till about Monday 10 am GMT: when they have weekend server outages, that's when they come back.

i noticed when using there domaincontroller (cos it runs off the script that creates free sites) that if you apply you dont recieve an email, something really wierd is going on?? :chinese2:

Past their usual recovery time, still nothing up at my site. FTP error: Host not found. Even the home page and member portal are down. Oh, well, the price you pay for ad-free domain hosting.

i think they are back up, i just recieved an email from domaincontroller.com with my info (it took a while)

Actually, I heard from www.f2g.net that everything would be fixed by tomorrow. Their server had a major crash and is now back up (all the portland-alike sites). Haha, portland is not giving out MySQL, my host is with all the features that www.portland.co.uk has :devious2:.

I got problems with portland.

My page with domaincontroller went out for almost 2 weeks.

Sometimes you cannot log with ftp.

My ftp account has been deleted.

I hate it when people do this.

But it is very reflective... it has shown how Portland has gone from bad to worse.

Maybe he had illegal content, and portland deleted his account, because he violated the terms of use.
