no Google, instead a WARRRNING

I'm confused. I get his a coupla times a week. It's probably just random spyware, but still, sometimes when I try google.com it comes up with a page instead saying WAAAARRRRRRRNING!!! and all this information about my system and that people are listening in on me or something.

Tis rather odd... :p

Might wana reformat your drive. Or if you are on xp do an system restore. lol If your situation happened to me I would go crazy I am on google.com every minute.
 
1. Run Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D
2. Run anti-virus
3. Download firewall
4. Click "no" the next time you get a popup asking to install something

7. Stop using IE. Use a secure browser like Mozilla Firebird
 
There is absolutley nothing wrong with IE. Once again a user misuses their software and its the software vendor's fault. If you take the time to actually use IE properly you will find all the settings and options you need to protect your copy of IE from such things. Also, stop looking at porn sites that install spyware onto your comp and quit downloading cheap spyware apps. :biggrin2:
 
Sound like those annoying pop ups saying theres info on your system that is illegal, whether there is or not, just to sell you browser cleaners and spyware detector software :devious2:

Being a Firebird user myself for some time, I would have added that, but I know how some of these IE users are set in their ways.

If everyone stops using ie, then spyware makers will make software to exploit mozilla's flaws

You most likely need to replace your hosts file in the c:\windows directory
 
Just today, i got a virus .exe file in my temp dir, and didn't download anything. Went to a lyrics site for a song i wasn't clear on, and next thing i know, my firewall is saying WUPDT.EXE is trying to send a connection out, i say no (I say no to almost everything) and since i never heard of it, googled it.

I'll still stick with IE, but there are some flaws (Like the url spoof) and others. But you just have to be smart.

im not what you would call "anti-ms" i just dont like their practices....
