managed wordpress hosting

Alright, I need a host for a small service I want to start...

I need ~150mb space, and 1 - 1.5gb bandwidth. I need to be able to add on more domains to my account (about 2), and preferably have CPanel as my control panel.

I can put a textlink on the bottom/top/where of my pages if needed. No banner ads/popups though.

I also need the Apache mod, "mod_rewrite" enabled/installed (IMPORTANT).

I can do some forum posting (50-75posts?) for the hosting, but nothing monthly.

Hope this isn't too much to ask.

Then get something other than the Silver class account ....

Our Silver account is the ONLY class with 404 Error Page redirects.
That still leaves 6 other account classes to choose from!
 
Did you just add the brass class? Thanks...I signed up for it. I will need to use "mod_rewrite", so I hope it's installed.

The way our servers work, mod_rewrite is not needed for most applications
that think they require mod_rewrite and can just skip that configuration step.

For those that do need something in particular setup, you can contact us
via our support ticket system at http://www.clubhost.us/support.php
to modify your account with the appropriate emulation.

Well it's not that I'm installing anything that "thinks" it needs it, it is just that what I will be making does need it.

No it doesn't .... not on our servers at least. Just trust me!

Let's just say that our servers have a few "optional extras" not
available anywhere else. :wink2:
 
Well actually it does (it REALLY does) because I wanted to set up something similar to tinyurl.com. That's why I need mod_rewrite (to make short URLs).

Also, why does brass still have error redirect on? I thought it was text-link only?

You don't need mod_rewrite for that and the way you were talking about
doing that in your email message to us is fairly primitive. We'll show you
a much better way of doing that which gives you even shorter URLs
than what you were originally thinking of doing.

It looks like the error redirect was accidentally turned on at your account.
You are correct though, the Brass account class does not have any
error page redirects so we have already disabled that error page redirect
on your web hosting account.
