Any specific reason you need UK based servers? As a general suggestion, I would recommend including hosts with prices in US$ in your search as well because otherwise you are limiting your options to a very small number of hosts. :)
 
We don't mind giving you price quotes in pounds, our servers are not based in the UK and that's the only thing holding us back from giving you a quote.

Generally UK servers will turn up better placement in UK search engines, with the focus starting to turn to "local" search results, then UK servers are probably a better home for UK targeted content.

I would really like the servers to be in the uk, for the reasons that alex said above, but as long as the prices are in £s, then thats ok.

Here is a little trick we use for customers who need UK placement on search engines but need cheap bandwidth.
Most of them are shareware authors so we put the main site on a Uk server where it is not likley to use much bandwidth, then we put a second account like download.******.com on a US server and they store all the files there.
This lets them have the best of both worlds.

Just incase anyone wants hosting with the same specs, for £45 a year i got:
500 meg space
10 gig bandwith
unlimited cpanel features and 5 addon domains
free domain
I know its not the cheapist, but hay, i had to choos one.
