I have nothing to do at the moment..If would accept if offered. I have no prof conflict as i have nothing to gain nor lose as I am not a hosting provider. I know I do not come here often unless I am looking for a host, but I could stop in a few times per day.

I think the best way to choose someone is base it not off posts, but who has the strive and the determination to do this, as we're talking about a huge forum here, I've got some pretty damn good experience with spammers and running a forum.

I don't know how can you guys recommend yourselves.
If I am eligible for the Mod post, I'd stay respectfully without self promoting.
If I have the requirements, Peo would choose me. Why to concern?

. However, I would have to disagree. The owner still is choosing the mod post, but the fact that these people are offering shows that they are willing to put the effort into the job. They are also taking initiative, which is a big thing. Also, if respectable members of the community show that they respect a mod, they are more likely to support that mod's decisions and listen to said mod.I honestly don't see the need for more moderators. The forum is pretty much free of all spam, and the posts that do violate rules are dealt with. Just because you report a post does not mean it is going to be deleted or edited in any way, shape or form.

If you think you are the best for the job, then good for you, then
maybe they should give it to you. I am surely not here to fight for it,
or even argue for it, for that matter, I just do not have time for such games.
but if i was the owner, I would be really concerned about a person
wanting to be a mod badly, that would concern me more then anything.

Part of being a public forum is expressing ideas that are different from one another! If someone does not agree with you, that is Ok ... read their thoughts and move on. No one was arguing with you, and I am sure everyone posting here has read and considered your thoughts as well as those of AdamJ.No offense, then you have gone blind. There is a lot more spam and rule-breakers these days.

There is no need to be rude. As I mentioned previously, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
From past experience, only those with a good reputation here at FWS and a good post count with friendly attitudes get the positions.
So, from my point, that excludes me. Ben or Blank Verse would make a good addition to the moderators though.

Where are you seeing more spam than previously? The mods see a ton of spam which has severely increased, but there isn't much that is visible to regular members.
